  • HOW MANY APPOINTMENTS ARE NECESSARY?
    It is advisable to schedule a post procedure touch-up appointment within 6-8 weeks in order to perfect and fine-tune the shape and color. After the touch-up, it is at the client's discretion to determine when to book for a color boost. Clients typically return within 1-3 years after their initial touch-up.
  • WHAT NORMALLY OCCURS IN A BASIC PROCEDURE?
    A typical permanent cosmetic procedure includes: 1. Client registration and consultation: There are some contraindications for permanent cosmetic procedures. Please be sure to read the consent form thoroughly and respond honestly to ensure you are a good candidate for PMU. 2. Brow Mapping/Shaping: This stage involves creating your ideal brow. If you have any specific dislikes regarding the shaping, please do not hesitate to express your concerns so that we can ensure you achieve your optimal dream brow. 3. Numbing and Shading: After breaking the skin open with a first pass, we will numb the procedure area with professional grade anesthetic that will greatly reduce any discomfort. Artist will then continue shading the are until the procedure is complete.
  • IS PERMANENT COSMETICS LIKE TATTOOING?
    Permanent cosmetics is fundamentally similar to tattooing, however the end results are different. The pigments formulated for PMU fades much more quickly than traditional tattoo pigment. Undertones of a client are also considered to achieve natural, healed results.
  • WHAT IS THE CONTINUED CARE FOR PMU?
    Please be advised that the following is recommended to ensure longevity of permanent cosmetics: Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen to the procedure area daily. Avoid exfoliating the area often and keep facial products of the area, if possible. Examine the area often for any patches and be sure to schedule touch-ups yearly, if not sooner.
  • DOES PERMANENT COSMETICS HURT?
    Pain is a subjective topic and varies from person to person. Most people experience slight discomfort within the first 10 minutes of treatment. Most describe it as a light, annoying scratch. Once the procedure area has been numbed effectively, the client will feel very little. To everyone's surprise, it's a lot more bearable than one would think!
  • WHAT IS PERMENENT COSMETICS?
    Permanent Makeup is a non-surgical procedure that implants pigment into the dermis (middle layer of skin) by using a fine needle.
  • WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM THE HEALING PROCESS?
    The healing process consist of 3 basic stages: 1. OPEN WOUND: This period encompasses the time immediately following the procedure up to four days. This stage of healing is characterized by immediate bleeding and weeping of lymph, redness and swelling, and darkening of the procedure area. There is no need for concern, as this is to be expected. 2. ITCHING & SCABBING: This period is 4-6 days following the procedure. The client can expect an itching sensation around day four that may not stop until the scab is finished peeling. Please refrain from picking scabs as that can cause the pigment to loosen from the dermis layer. Aftercare cream can be applied to ease discomfort. 3. DRYING & SETTLING: This period is 5-7 days following the procedure. The color lost during phase two should be returning and clients are able to see what their permanent cosmetics will look like long-term.
